Catchy Songs and Inspiration

For anyone growing up as a child in the 80's no matter what you were watching, be it cartoons or adverts, there was always an abundance of insanely catchy songs attached to them somewhere. For me this has been a major influence in the way i write songs today, which is why I focus heavily on melody when it comes to doing audio branding for SME's and larger organisations. If you're a songwriter or audio producer then this is the way to do it because the art of creating a memorable product with music is slowly becoming lost to watered down, boring library music. Standard electronic beats, 'soundscapes' and emotionless acoustic noodling or jazz are not going to make anyone remember anything, particularly not a product or title sequence. So have a listen to the selection of classics I've chosen below and leave your thoughts in the comments and share on Facebook. Enjoy!
